To appear for the NEET (National Eligibility cum Entrance Test) in India, candidates must meet the following eligibility criteria.

The minimum age required is 17 years as of December 31 of the admission year. There is no upper age limit as per the latest updates, though this may be subject to change based on official notifications.

In terms of educational qualification, candidates must have passed Class 12 or an equivalent examination with subjects including Physics, Chemistry, Biology or Biotechnology, and English (either core or elective).

Candidates who are appearing for their Class 12 exams are also eligible to apply. For the minimum marks required, candidates in the General category must score at least 50% marks in Physics, Chemistry, and Biology.

Candidates from OBC, SC, or ST categories must have at least 40% marks in the same subjects. For candidates under the General-PwD category, the minimum required is 45% in PCB.

Regarding nationality, Indian Nationals, Non-Resident Indians (NRIs), Overseas Citizens of India (OCIs), Persons of Indian Origin (PIOs), and Foreign Nationals are all eligible to apply for NEET.
